Privacy Policy IntroductionMyDadNMe was created specifically to enable dads, kids and their families to get and stay connected in a safe, fun online environment. MyDadNMe takes special care to keep your family members and their personal information protected. Your privacy is very important to us. This page describes our privacy policy and guidelines, so that your family can be well-informed on exactly how we manage your information. Under no circumstances will MyDadNMe sell or share any personal information about you to or with any person or organization except (i) as authorized by you, (ii) as described in the relevant portion of the site, (iii) as may be required by law or court order, or (iv) as otherwise set forth herein. This Privacy Policy describes the standards we adhere to in handling information about you and any personal information you submit through our Web site located at www.mydadnme.com. To help protect your privacy online, the U.S. government has created laws that don't allow websites to collect personal information from kids without permission from their parents. In order to comply with the law and guard your online safety, we don't collect information from children under the age of 13 unless and until we have permission from their parents. Accounts for families (including kids) must be created by a parent, and parents retain the right and responsibility to administer each of their children’s accounts and information. We ask your name, gender, age, zip code and e-mail address as part of parent account creation and consent. We use your email address for inter-family communications and site update information and administration (e.g. requested password resets) – the other collected data is only for research purposes to better understand who uses our site. MyDadNMe was designed so that every family can create an account to share and communicate with each other. Only with a log-in protected account can parents and children create and share content – and, even then, only with members of their MyDadNMe family. This includes photos, blog entries, messages to our online support team and anything else you create or upload. Parents who create the family accounts are able to manage all aspects of their family content, including deleting items and adjusting children’s permissions. We use a variety of security systems to keep your information and creations safe and secure. We encourage families to openly talk about what is appropriate to create, write or upload to your MyDadNMe account. Once we have a parent's approval, it is up to the child and his or her parent to determine how a child’s personal information and/or other online creations are shared. It's important for both child and parent to learn and remember how easy it is to share information with others on the Internet. Always be careful what information is put in blogs, pictures, cards and messages. If in doubt, a child should always talk to his or her parents, teachers or other responsible adults about what is appropriate to create, write or upload to your MyDadNMe account. If for some reason we change our privacy policy, we'll let your family know. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected online through this Website (and any other website we expressly tell you this Privacy Policy is applicable to), and does not include information collected by phone or through regular mail, e-mail or fax. Each time you use this Website, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy. You also signify your acceptance of the Privacy Policy when you submit information to this Website. Information we collect and how it is usedThe Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") requires us to inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age. This policy describes our practices with respect to information we collect from you, as well as from your child. Under COPPA, we may not, and we do not, condition your child's participation in a MyDadNMe activity on the provision of more information than is reasonably necessary for your child to participate in that activity. Children can peruse public areas of the Website without registering for an account, however MyDadNMe will not collect any personal data or information from any such child in connection with any such activity. Prior to receiving verified parental consent, we may also use information your child submits, such as email address, to respond one time to a direct request, such as a support question about the operation of the Website. What information we collect from childrenMyDadNMe is a family networking site. As such, any personal information your family posts to MyDadNMe, such as full name, address, phone number, email address and pictures, may be read or viewed only by members of your MyDadNMe family. This means you can invite Uncle Jeff to your family, and only then can he view your family’s collective information, photos, messages, etc. When your family creates a MyDadNMe account, we directly collect limited personal information, such as first name, gender, date of birth, email address (which is optional) and a parent's and children’s email address (as available and appropriate) in order to process your registration request. Prior to receiving verified parental consent, we may also allow visiting children to send an automated e-mail to their parent requesting them to set-up a MyDadNMe account, but that information will not be retained. What information we collect from parentsIn order for you to provide consent and fully activate your child's account, we directly collect personal information from parents such as your name, address, email address and year of birth. In order for a child to activate an account with MyDadNMe, you, as the child’s parent, will need to affirmatively provide consent via e-mail to MyDadNMe which e-mail will include, at a minimum: (i) your name; (ii) your family name; (iii) the name of each child with respect to whom you are providing consent to register with MyDadNMe; (iv) the birthday for each child included in your consent; and (v) your affirmative consent regarding each child’s registration. MyDadNMe will only collect your child’s name, mailing address and other personally identifiable information from you, the parent, and not from your child. We use a parent's information (name) to verify your identity. We use your year of birth to verify that you are over 18 years of age. We use your email address to link you to your child's account and to communicate with you about support, security, privacy or administrative issues. A parent must create a MyDadNMe family account, including the basic signup of their kids and other family members, in order to enable a child's access to and participation in the account. Your child's account allows him or her access to your family account and the tools and content located there. MyDadNMe members can only see public areas of the site and their family area – no visitor can view information pertaining to a family that he/she isn’t explicitly a member. Other than the sending of MyDadNMe eCard, they also have no contact with other MyDadNMe users that aren’t named in your MyDadNMe family. If you fully activate your child's account by providing consent and basic registration information, your child can begin to create content such as messages and upload pictures which can be viewable by you and any friends of your child on MyDadNMe. We provide tools to allow you to administer your MyDadNMe family account. These tools include specialized security settings that have been developed so that you, as the parent, can control and monitor your child's MyDadNMe experience to however strict or lenient you desire depending on your comfort level. Inviting new members to join the MyDadNMe family account is restricted to the parent account owner. We allow MyDadNMe parent account owners to provide us with non-member friends' first names and email addresses to have MyDadNMe send an invitation to the non-members to join MyDadNMe. The names and email addresses are immediately deleted so no personal information is stored.
